This is Tuan (pronounced Dwun). He is 13 years old. He is always smiling and has such a kind heart. This is one of the kids that I immediately felt destined to meet. He came to the orphanage around August/September when his father died. His mom remarried and, sadly, his stepfather did not want to keep him. He does not know about his father and thinks he is at the orphanage because he misbehaved. I did not meet him on our trip last year. As we were sitting around the table at dinner he tells me (translated) that he couldn’t believe he was finally sitting next to me, that he heard so much about me from the others that he was so excited that I was finally there. To me, that alone beats all the money and fame in the world. An incredible 13-year-old boy. I miss him so very much.
